In the wake of the COP21 agreement, Loam has made it our mission to provide you with diverse strategies for combating the climate crisis. Over the course of the next couple weeks, we will provide links to campaigns, resources, artists, and advocates who are working passionately for a healthier planet and safer future. We know: there is so much that needs to be done, and that can feel overwhelming. But there is so much we can do, right now.
If we want a better world, we have to fight for it. We have to substantiate our compassion for the earth with action. We have to remember that no government has the final say on our future. There is immense power in the people and this is the purpose of embodied hope: to transform dreaming into doing.
First stop? Join us in supporting 350. 350 is an organization that is mobilizing the climate change movement through hard-hitting campaigns and grassroots advocacy. Loam has established a fundraising page that will enable you to donate directly to 350. This is a critical time to show our support and any amount of money is enormously helpful. And if you can't donate money, volunteer! 350 has a number of campaigns throughout the country. Find what you are passionate about and go for it. As a mentor of mine, nutritionist and locavore advocate Joan Gussow Dye says, "I want to be on the side that tried."
Let's be on the side that tried.
Donate here and be sure to share with us any next steps you have!
